I stumbled across Wilmer Murillo’s VIRB page the other day and absolutely loved his work. It’s got this truly wonderful combination of seemingly light (not to be misconstrued as “light weight”) subject matter with just the right hint of something darker and a little sad. And I absolutely love the proportions. It’s right up my alley.

bill moyers had jeremiah wright on JOURNAL this past friday. i literally clapped, by myself, from the edge of my bed several times. wright totally inspired me. do yourself a favor and WATCH THIS INTERVIEW. both parts. listen to what he says in-between video snippets of sermons. listen to what he says in-between the stuff the media has taken out of context. he is a brilliant, rational, loving person who speaks from a perspective many of us are fortunate to NEVER have had to give voice to. it’s so time for a change.


sidenote: after this interview i emailed him at his church. i never do shit like that. i encourage anyone to find anything crazy or negative about him. bring it on. and let’s define negative.

Apple Just announced that iTunes has surpassed Wal-Mart to become the number one music retailer in the US. This makes me very happy. I fucking hate Wal-Mart and I love everything APPLE.

CUPERTINO, California—April 3, 2008—Apple® today announced that the iTunes® Store (www.itunes.com) surpassed Wal-Mart to become the number one music retailer in the US, based on the latest data from the NPD Group*. With over 50 million customers, iTunes has sold over four billion songs and features the world’s largest music catalog of over six million songs.

“We launched iTunes less than five years ago, and it has now become the number one music retailer in the world,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of iTunes. “We are thrilled, and would like to thank all of our customers for helping us reach this incredible milestone.”

*Based on data from market research firm the NPD Group’s MusicWatch survey that captures consumer reported past week unit purchases and counts one CD representing 12 tracks, excluding wireless transactions. The iTunes Store became the largest music retailer in the US based on the amount of music sold during January and February 2008.
